A Fresh Approach
WHY IS FRESHWATER WELLNESS UNIQUE?
Training and Experience: All of our practitioners are specifically trained in integrative modalities. Abigail Ellsworth, ND, LAc, completed a 6-year, combined Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Oriental Medicine, which was a full-time, in residence program at the National University of Natural Medicine, one of five Naturopathic Medical Programs in North America recognized by the US Department of Education. Elizabeth Blalock, RN started her nursing career in a hospital setting, and has worked in naturopathic and integrative medicine clinics for the last 3.5 years. She is currently completing advanced training to become a Board Certified as Nurse Coach (NC-BC), which will marry her nursing experience with her passion for integrative, naturopathic and functional medicine.
Root Cause Analysis: Tired of managing symptoms? We are too! At Freshwater Wellness, we use a systematic method to uncover the fundamental factors contributing to health problems. In our initial visits, we explore your health history, evaluate your responses to past interventions, and suggest further techniques to identify and tackle the root causes underlying your dis-ease.
Dedicated to Balance: We are committed to promoting balanced health This involves steering clear of complicated, restrictive, unrealistic routines, whenever possible. We collaborate with you to establish attainable goals and revisit them as life unfolds. Our aim is to assist you in achieving harmony in your body and with the world around you.
Team Based Approach: At Freshwater Wellness, you'll have access to your Naturopathic Provider, as well as a Health Coach, both of whom are under the Medical Directorship of Lisa Fortin, MD. When you establish with us, you'll get 3 new members to your healthcare team. We do not act as primary care providers, but are happy to collaborate with them, as well as all of your healthcare practitioners to optimize your outcomes.
